Back in December, at the start of high season, the cover of The Eye featured an aerial photo showing tons of beachgoers floating at the edge of sea—in boats, on paddleboards, hanging on pink plastic inner tubes. Over the scene was the somewhat sinister shadow of a jetliner—presumably bringing another load of tourists.
